Newquay is shaped like an ampitheatre, with headlands on either side. The sea is the stage and the Harbour and Tolcarne beach the stalls.

Horizons has the" best seats " - halfway up the bowl of the ampitheatre. with views over all the town yet only 5 mins walk from the main street.

The A30 is now dual carridgeway all the way to several miles past the Newquay turn-off, and except for only a few miles , this continues down west to past Hayle.

Newquay is 10 mins. from the A30 and is central for exploring the rest of Cornwall.
